First Course

Camarones al Ajillo; Jumbo Shrimp sauteed in a white wine, garlic-butter sauce

Pazo Cilleiro Albarino 2017; Pazo Cilleiro Albarino has a lively pale gold color with greenish reflections. It is clean and balanced, with citric fruits and white fruit notes, with small white flower aromas. The taste mimics the nose – it is fresh, round and elegant on the palate, with a persistent, full, and refreshing finish.

Second Course

Salmon a la Plancha; Grilled Salmon sautéed in a white wine & butter sauce with spinach

Bodegas Muriel Rioja Blanco 2014; This wine is a bright pale yellow color, with greenish reflections. The fruit in the nose and palate are intense and fresh, with floral and fruity notes of white pear, apple and citrus. The palate is juicy and harmoniously acidic leaving a long, fresh and pleasing aftertaste.

Third Course

Aguacate Rellena; Avocado stuffed with braised short ribs in demi glaze

Real Compañía de Vinos, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Garnacha 2015; This Garnacha is elegant & complex, with a vivid color, & an aromatic intensity that includes a wide variety of fruit (red fruits, plums, & peaches are most prominent). The nose follows through to the palate, which is redolent of fresh fruit. Soft, with a characteristic acidity, & a long and fruity finish.

Fourth Course

Bistec de Pollo; Marinated grilled chicken breast w/ sautéed peppers and onions

Bodegas Muriel Rioja Reserva Finca de la Villa 2014; This wine is a ruby red color, with good intensity. The fruit in the nose and palate are very clean and mature (red fruits dominate) along with hints of liquorice, on a background of spice and vanilla notes from the wood aging. The palate is round, elegant and velvety, showing finesse and a very long, satisfying finish.

Fifth Course

Churrasco a La Cubana; Certified natural Angus skirt steak topped with a Chimichurri sauce

Bodegas Muriel, Gran Reserva 2006; Medium ruby-brick color. It has an aromatic explosion of fine oak (vanilla, fine herb and spices), very mature fruit such as raisins, as well as caramel and subtle bottle aging sensations (leather and tobacco). These aromas become more intense and complex as the wine begins to breathe. On the palate the wine is perfectly assembled, full of velvet silkiness and finesse. A classic Rioja that is only produced in superior vintages.
