Matured in Mizunara oak casks – the finest and most expensive casks in the world. Once filled, the casks are sent out to sea so the un-filtered whisky can fell the effects of the ocean while aging; the rolling of the waves ensures all the liquid has barrel contact while the changing temperatures and air pressures cause the barrel to swell, allowing for maximum seasoning.
