Crimson color flecked with purple recalls a peony or certain deeply-colored roses. The fruit-laden nose evokes at first Morello cherry and strawberry then develops towards blackcurrant, licorice and often a touch of spice. Hautes Côtes de Beaune is charming in its straightforward spontaneity. Shows great harmony and balance with the ability to age and develop over several years. Handpicked at harvest and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Maturation during 7-8 months in cellar for ageing, including a part in oak barrels.
