Grassy agave, and a peculiar aroma that I always find in La Cofradía bottlings, something that makes me think of fruit pits. Palate: Surprisingly mellow for higher proof, initial hot burst of agave and subtle minerality, relatively short finish. I get that grassy fruit pit flavor, very subtle. Mixed up in a margarita and the higher proof absolutely shines. As a sipper, it’s decent, as a mixer, it’s rock solid.
